On the Day Services
For urgent health concerns that cannot wait for a routine appointment, our On the Day services are here to help. These services are available for issues that need prompt attention but are not emergencies.
Who Can Help on the Day?
- On the Day GP: Provides quick consultations for urgent medical concerns, prescribes medication if needed, and offers referrals for further tests or treatment.
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner: Highly trained to manage urgent medical conditions, ANPs can diagnose, treat, and prescribe, often seeing patients in place of the GP.
- Paramedic: Paramedics provide support for acute but non-life-threatening issues, including minor injuries and urgent home visits for patients who are unable to attend the practice.
How to Access On the Day Services: If you need urgent care, call your GP practice as early as possible to request an on-the-day appointment. Please be prepared to give brief details about your condition to ensure you are seen by the right clinician.
